Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Philadelphia County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its receipt and use of the query.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the message and the contact information needed to respond. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Information
Ordinary page requests may create technical and usage data used to operate and assess the service. That information can include:
- Your internet protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring page or site, when supplied.
- Date and time stamps for a visit.
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. You can block or remove cookies through browser settings, although parts of the service or partner tools may then work differently.

Collected information supports a limited set of operating purposes:

Links may lead to PDP and PA DOC resources, Pennsylvania court portals, federal locators, public records offices, or independent search providers. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy notice controls. Philadelphia agency records may be requested under Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101 et seq.; that public-record process is separate from this site’s handling of visitor data.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to follow activity across multiple sites for interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on their systems, not as a visitor search log maintained by Philadelphia County Released Inmates.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be processed or disclosed to:
- Search partners that receive a submitted query.
- Analytics vendors that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Has Limits
We use customary safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, use the Contacts page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the information actually held, you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data associated with you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Erase personal information in our control.
- Stop or limit certain processing where an opt-out applies.
A request may require enough information to verify identity and locate the relevant data. Requests cannot alter a government record or information controlled solely by an outside search provider.

We may revise this privacy notice as services, vendors, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here, with its current effective date shown on the published page.
